Let’s have a bit of a chat about a massive topic that undermines self-confidence and that is called shame. And in addition to just talking about it, I reckon that there’s a book you should read about it, which is this one: It’s called Healing The Shame That Binds You by John Bradshaw, and it’s an absolute classic in the area of dealing with this nasty substance called toxic shame.

And shame is a massive problem because it’s the thing that undermines a lot of our self-confidence and our emotions and our feeling about just being okay about ourselves. It turns out, according to Bradshaw, that the cure to shame is to expose it in groups with people who can identify with what it is that you’re going through because a lot of us walk around most our lives pretending that everything is cool and hunky-dory and not wanting to reveal what’s really going on inside us, and this is what causes us a lot of problems. And when we expose our shame to other people, we get to experience some relief from it which is kind of nice.

So Bradshaw goes into a whole heap of detail about this in his book, particularly talking about toxic shame, which is this horrible feeling of not being good enough that a lot of us struggle with. So I highly recommend that you grab a copy of this book.

Give it a read because it will give you some massive tips that will boost your self-confidence by allowing you to deal with a lot of the emotional stuff that’s going on underneath that undermines our self-confidence. So check it out today, Healing The Shame That Binds You by John Bradshaw, and let me know what you think.
